Privacy and terms

The short version

Practice Parking needs no account and never asks for your name, email, or location. It counts anonymously which lessons are used and finished, so the lessons can be improved. You can turn this off at any time. Nothing is sold, shared for advertising, or used to build a profile of you.

What is recorded

While statistics are on, the site sends short events to its own server: for example “a step was opened”, “a park was finished, with or without hints”, or “a page was viewed”. Each event has the time since the page was opened and a coarse device type (phone, tablet, or computer; portrait or landscape; touch or not). A random code stored in your browser lets returning visits be counted; it is not linked to who you are. If you choose to answer the optional one-tap questions, the answer is recorded too: whether you are a learner, parent, instructor, or experienced driver, a learner’s age group (under 16, 16–17, 18–24, or 25 and over), whether the guided path helped, and which part was hardest. Error messages from the app are kept to a short line so problems can be fixed.

Not recorded: your name, email, phone number, precise location, IP address, browser identifier, or anything you type. Your learning progress is stored only in your own browser.

Why, and for how long

The events are used only to run and improve this site: to see where learners get stuck, which lessons help, and what breaks. They are kept for at most 180 days: older events are deleted automatically every day. They are stored with the site’s hosting provider (Cloudflare) and are not given to anyone else. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles your IP address to deliver the pages; the site does not store it.

Turning it off

Choose Turn off next to the statistics notice at the bottom of any page or in How to use. That stops sending and deletes the random code from your browser. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, statistics are off automatically. In the European Union, the wider European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland (judged from your device’s time zone), statistics are always off and nothing is stored.

Children

Practice Parking is made for people learning to drive, usually 15 and older. It is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them; the anonymous statistics above are used only to run the site.

Terms of use

Practice Parking is a free educational simulation. It shows how steering moves a car and one way to parallel park; it is not driving instruction, a driving test, or legal advice, and an on-screen car does not behave exactly like yours. Always follow the law and your state’s driver handbook, and practice in a real car only with a licensed driver or instructor where it is safe and legal. Simulator targets, such as the curb distance it accepts, are teaching settings, not legal standards.

The site is provided as is, without warranties, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for damage or loss from using it. You may use and share the site and its diagrams for personal and teaching purposes with a link to practiceparking.com.
